This post is a tad shorter! Due to getting sick and public holidays in Spain. During new years eve/day everything shuts down in Madrid.
Background on Madrid
Madrid is the Capital of Spain, dates back to 900AD. Has been the Capital of Spain since the 17th century.
Where I Stayed
ibis Madrid Centro las Ventas, €150 a night, 3 stops on the Metro from the CBD.
What I Visited
Royal Palace of Madrid
Is home to the Royal Family of Spain, is in a Baroque style Palace. They didn’t allow photos inside the Palace, the Garden are open to the public and open everyday.
Museo Nacional del Prado (The Prado Museum)
Is the National Art Gallery of Spain. Lot of art going back 10 the 1400’s. Had taken a guided tour of the Museum.
Museo Nacional Centro de Arte Reina Sofía (Reina Sofía Art Museum)
Is the National Art Gallery for the 20th Century of Spanish Art, lots of Picasso piece of Art at this Museum.
